Marvin Robinson Found Guilty for the Death of 53-Year-Old Michael Morgan

CLEVELAND- Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Timothy J. McGinty announced that Marvin Robinson was found guilty by a jury of one count of murder, one count of aggravated robbery, and one count of felonious assault. Judge John O’Donnell has scheduled sentencing for April 24, 2013, at 9:00 am. Robinson faces a maximum of life in prison.

On July 16, 2012, Robinson, 44, and co-defendant Charles Harris, 30, both of Cleveland, severely assaulted the 53-year-old male victim, Michael Morgan, in the vicinity of West 83rd Street in Cleveland. The fatal  assault took place at approximately 10:30 pm. Police were called to the scene and found the victim lying on the ground bleeding from the back of his head and nose. Police were able to subsequently locate both suspects in the area of the incident and placed them under arrest. The victim was taken to Metro Hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. Trial for Harris is scheduled for April 11, 2013.
