Sharon Moore and Rachella Womack Indicted for the Death of 25-Year-Old Nadia Williams

CLEVELAND- Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Timothy J. McGinty announced that Sharon Moore, 24, and Rachella Womack, 20, both of Cleveland, were charged in an eight count indictment on April 19, 2013, including one count of Involuntary Manslaughter, one count of Abduction, one count of Assault, two counts of Disorderly Conduct, one count of Inducing Panic, one count of Inciting to Violence, and one count of Aggravated Trespass.

On March 30, 2013, Sharon Moore, Rachella Womack and the victim, 25-year-old Nadia Williams, created a disturbance inside of the International House of Pancakes located at 3452 Mayfield Road in Cleveland Heights. The suspects were asked to leave the establishment by a security officer for creating acts of disorderly conduct. Upon reaching the inner double doors of the restaurant, a physical altercation ensued between the suspects and the officer, which continued once they were outside. The suspects assaulted the security officer and refused to leave the premises. The officer had drawn his weapon however the suspects continued to assault him. The officer was then pulled backward, due to the victim being on his back, and another pushing him from the front. While falling to the ground the officer’s gun discharged striking Williams, who had fallen off his back, once in the head resulting in her death.

Arraignment for Rachella Womack is scheduled for tomorrow, April 23, 2013. Arraignment for Sharon Moore is scheduled for May 3, 2013.
