Gregory Duncan and Jayve Jackson Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison for a String of Robberies

CLEVELAND- Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Timothy J. McGinty announced that Gregory Duncan, 22, and Jayve Jackson, 21, both of Cleveland, were each sentenced to 10 years in prison for a string of robberies throughout Cleveland, Rocky River, Westlake, and Lakewood.

In four separate cases between March 9, 2012 and December 20, 2012, Duncan and Jackson burglarized approximately fifteen residences. The defendants were ultimately caught on December 20, 2012, on a street located in the West Park neighborhood, when a neighbor observed Duncan carrying a large rock to smash out a window of a home where Jackson had already cut the screen. This neighbor immediately contacted police. Duncan was arrested on scene and Jackson was arrested on December 23, 2012.

On May 21, 2013, both Duncan and Jackson plead guilty to three counts of Burglary, three counts of Theft, and one count of Possessing Criminal Tools. Restitution has been ordered in the amount of $11,240 to the victims. (In relation to case number 570131)

On May 21, 2013, both Duncan and Jackson plead guilty to one count of Burglary and one count of Theft. Restitution has been ordered in the amount of $500 to the victims. (In relation to case number 570194)

On May 21, 2013, both Duncan and Jackson plead guilty to two counts of Burglary and two counts of Theft. Restitution has been ordered in the amount of $10,244 to the victims. (In relation to case number 571222)

On May 21, 2013, both Duncan and Jackson plead guilty to one count of Burglary and one count of Theft. Restitution has been ordered in the amount of $2,350 to the victims. (In relation to case number 572438)
