Cleveland Man Sentenced to 5 Years in Prison

CLEVELAND- Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Timothy J. McGinty announced that defendant James Gray has been sentenced to 5 years in prison by Common Pleas Court Judge John J. Russo.

Gray, 40, of Cleveland, was sharing child pornography online. Investigators from the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) executed a search warrant in July of this year at Gray’s residence where they discovered hundreds of child pornography files located on multiple electronic storage devices.

On October 7, 2013, Gray entered a plea of guilty to 76 counts of Pandering Sexually Oriented Matter Involving a Minor and two counts of Illegal Use of a Minor in Nudity-Oriented Material or Performance.

Gray will be required to register as a Tier II Sexual Offender.
