Cleveland – A Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Jury has found Andrey Bridges guilty of murder in the April slaying of a transgender woman, Prosecutor Timothy J. McGinty announced.

Jurors began deliberating Thursday after a trial that began October 29. On Friday afternoon, they found Bridges, 36, of Cleveland, guilty of Murder, Felonious Assault, Tampering with Evidence and Abuse of a Corpse.

Evidence proved that Bridges killed 20-year-old Cemia "Ce Ce" Dove, born Carl Acoff Jr., and dumped her body in an Olmsted Township pond. Dove had been stabbed repeatedly.

Common Pleas Court Judge Hollie L. Gallagher set a sentencing hearing for noon on November 13.

Assistant County Prosecutor Brian Radigan prosecuted the case for the state.
