Two men sentenced to life in prison for killing woman in a case of mistaken identity

Cleveland -- A case of mistaken identity has landed two men in prison for life for the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old woman in December.

Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Nancy McDonnell on Monday sentenced David Baker, 28, of Bedford Heights to life in prison with the first chance of parole in 37 years. She sentenced Chevarre Young, 26, of Cincinnati to life in prison with the chance of parole in 36 years. McDonnell sentenced the men after they pleaded guilty in the slaying of Terria Nettles, 21.

Nettles was with two friends on Dec. 21. They were driving to another friend's house on East 146th Street, but they drove past the correct address.

Nettles pulled into a driveway to turn around, said Joseph Frolik, a spokesman for Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Timothy J. McGinty.
