Baldwin Wallace students sentenced to nine months in prison for plot to manufacture Ecstasy

Two former Baldwin Wallace Music Conservatory students will serve nine months in prison after pleading guilty to involvement in a drug lab operation.

Benjamin Knight, 25 and Lauren Pajerski, 23, faced a maximum of 36 months in prison after admitting to stealing chemicals from a chemistry lab at the university and attempting to manufacture Ecstasy.
Assistant Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Erica Barnhill showed Judge Carolyn B. Friedland text messages between the two students sent over a five-month period outlining their plans as they gathered ingredients, tried to cook Ecstasy and joked about whether they would get caught.

"remember were making dreams come true. And $$$," Pajerski said in one text message to Knight.

"These two defendants worked together to manufacture Ecstasy for sale on the Baldwin Wallace and the Ohio State campuses," Barnhill said.
