Former Parmadale employee pleads guilty to illegal sexual encounters with two teenage girls from the center

Cleveland -- A former employee of the Parmadale Institute pleaded guilty Thursday to 12 charges related to on-going sexual relationships with two teenage girls from the treatment center.

Cassondra Goodson, 34, of Shaker Heights, quietly answered "guilty" each time Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Michael Astrab read each of six counts of sexual battery, five counts of unlawful sex with a minor and one count of interference with custody.

She will be sentenced July 22 and faces a maximum of five years in prison for each conviction except interference with custody, which carries a maximum sentence of six months.

Goodson had faced more than three dozen charges related to her relationships with the two girls at the treatment center for troubled children that was run by Catholic Charities. The center closed in March.
