Cleveland man sentenced to life in prison for murdering wife with scissors


CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A Cleveland man was sentenced to life in prison Tuesday for stabbing his wife to death with a pair of scissors.

Cuyahoga Common Pleas Judge Cassandra Collier-Williams sentenced Henry Ashley, 51, who will have his first chance at parole after 15 years. 

Earlier this month Ashley was found guilty of murder, three counts of felonious assault and domestic violence in the September death of Frances Davis-Ashley. Ashley told police he stabbed his wife with scissors during a fight at the couple's home in the 2800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
