A Regional Approach to Prosecution

For all except the most serious felonies, our criminal prosecution staff is divided into regional teams. The prosecutors and supervisor in each region serve one Cleveland police district and a cluster of suburbs. This enables our prosecutors to develop strong working relationships with detectives, police commanders and other community leaders – as well as with crime victims and concerned citizens. By working together, we are better able to spot patterns of criminal conduct and move more effectively to combat it.
