The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office designates five regions of the county for purposes of tracking and prosecuting crimes. General Felony Unit region supervisors guide the APAs in this unit in prosecutions and community outreach.

 


Region 1

Region Supervisors

Gregory J. Mussman, General Felony Unit Supervisor, Region 1

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Gregory J. Mussman joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in 2007. Greg is currently assigned as the General Felony Unit Supervisor for Region 1. Greg was previously assigned to the Major Trial Unit where he prosecuted homicides and serious sexual assault cases. He was also frequently assigned to prosecute matters of white collar crime and public corruption. Greg is cross-designated as a Special Assistant United States Attorney (SAUSA) for the Northern District of Ohio where he works with members of the F.B.I. Violent Crimes Task Force to prosecute violent offenders with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in federal court. Prior to joining the office, Greg was an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office in Painesville, Ohio. Greg’s educational background focused on criminal justice. He received his J.D. from Cleveland State University. He also earned his B.S. in Justice Studies from Arizona State University and an A.A.S. in Law Enforcement Technology from the University of Toledo.

Region 4

José A. Torres, General Felony Unit Supervisor, Regions 2 and 4

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney José A. Torres has been an attorney since 1993. José received his bachelor's degree from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in 1989, and his law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico Law School in 1993.

Originally from Puerto Rico, José moved to Cleveland after graduating from law school and taking the Puerto Rico bar exam. He also took the Ohio bar exam, and served as an assistant county prosecutor for the next ten years. As an Assistant County Prosecutor, José received invaluable experience in Ohio’s criminal justice system.

In January 2007, Jose was selected as a Deputy Legal Counsel for Governor Ted Strickland. In that role, Jose was responsible for developing state-wide policies and procedures, the coordination of the investigation of illegal and wrongful conduct by employees of the State of Ohio, and evaluated executive clemency requests, including death penalty cases.

In May 2010, Jose joined the Ohio Adult Parole Board as a Member and proudly served for two years. In 2013, Jose rejoined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office as Regional Supervisor. He currently supervises county region 4 and temporarily region 2, manages the Conviction Integrity Unit, and is a member of the Capitol Review Committee.

Region 5

John R. Kosko, General Felony Unit Supervisor, Region 5

John Kosko has been with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office for over 35 years, starting as a law clerk for John T. Corrigan on June 18, 1979. He spent five years as an Assistant Prosecutor in the General Felony Unit; 23 years in the Major Trial Unit; and for the last few years has been Supervisor of Region 5. He has tried over 300 jury trials, from grand theft-auto to aggravated murder, and everything in between. He has tried cases against nearly every criminal defense attorney in Cuyahoga County. In 2006, he received “The Meritorious Service Award” from the Ohio Prosecuting Attorney’s Association and “The Carmen Marino Award” as outstanding assistant prosecutor of the year. In addition to John T. Corrigan, he has worked under Stephanie Tubbs Jones, Bill Mason, and Tim McGinty.

Lon’Cherie’ Billingsley, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Lon’Cherie’ Billingsley joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in March of 2013. She received her Juris Doctor from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2012. She also earned her Bachelor of Arts in three years from The Ohio State University in 2005, and is fluent in Spanish. She is responsible for litigating numerous cases before the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas from all five Regions. Prior to receiving her J.D., she was a Law Clerk for the Cleveland Municipal Court, Towards Employment, and the Spanish American Committee. A graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, she loves giving back, and frequently participates in volunteer events in the community, with her church, and through the CCPO. APA Billingsley is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, and the National Black Prosecutors Association.


Jonathan Block, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Jonathan is an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney within the General Felony unit of the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office.


Ryan J. Bokoch, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Ryan J. Bokoch joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in 2004 as a law clerk. In 2006, he was hired as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney after receiving his JD from the University of Akron School of Law. He has also earned a B.A. in English from The Ohio State University. Ryan works in the General Felony Unit and is assigned to handle cases originating in Region 1.


Kevin Bringman, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Kevin Bringman joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in January of 2012 after receiving his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. While in law school, Kevin worked in the Office as a law clerk assisting other APA’s in the Major Trial, Appeals, and Economic Crime Units. During this time, Kevin drafted several briefs for the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, the Eighth District Court of Appeals, and the Ohio Supreme Court. Kevin is currently assigned to the Juvenile Delinquency Unit, where he has prosecuted numerous cases before the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court. Kevin is a 2007 graduate of Washington and Jefferson College where he earned his B.A. in History and Business Administration and was a four year member of the men’s basketball team.


Vencot Brown, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Vencot O. Brown joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in June of 2014. Vencot began his public service career as a member of the United States Air Force in 1998, where he served honorably for 8 years. Vencot earned his law degree from the University of Dayton, in Dayton Ohio and is currently licensed to practice law in Illinois and Ohio. Vencot has also served as an intern at the Federal Public Defender’s Office, Southern District of Ohio, Dayton. Vencot is an avid soccer player and fanatic, with his favorite team being Manchester United.


Zen A. Canaday, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Zen Canaday joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in 2014. Prior to that, he worked in a wide variety of legal disciplines – experiences which strengthened his resolve to pursue justice and help improve communities through public service. Zen currently assists the General Felony Unit, Information Services Department, and office leadership in designing data driven performance measures for the office and implementing policies which will ensure office efficiency, transparency and quality results. Zen received his B.S. in Neuroscience from Brown University in 2006, then performed research in a molecular genetics laboratory. Afterwards, he attended the Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he participated in its Criminal Justice Clinic and earned his J.D. in 2010. Zen is also a registered Patent Attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. In his spare time, Zen volunteers with the Cleveland Metroparks and the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. He also enjoys attending Cleveland Orchestra concerts, playing the piano, spending time in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, traveling, and running marathons.


Adam M. Chaloupka, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Adam Chaloupka joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office after receiving his J.D. from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. He also has earned his B.S. in Business Administration from the Ohio State University and an M.B.A. from Cleveland State University. He is responsible for litigating all post-conviction issues before the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court and the Eighth District Court of Appeals, litigating numerous cases before the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, the Eighth District Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Ohio. He has also been selected to be on current capital litigation cases at the trial court level. Prior to receiving his J.D., he also was a law clerk at the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio in Cleveland and served as a legal extern for the Honorable Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor at the Supreme Court of Ohio.


L. Debose, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney L. Debose has been employed with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office since January 2007.

Jillian Eckart, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Jillian Eckart joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office after receiving her J.D. from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. She earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Mount Union. Prior to receiving her J.D., she was a law clerk at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago, Illinois, and a legal intern for the United States Attorneys’ Office for the Northern District of Illinois. She joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office as a law clerk in 2012, and is currently assigned to the General Felony Unit.

Andrew T. Gatti, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Andrew T. Gatti joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office after receiving his J.D. from Case Western Reserve School of Law. He also has earned his B.A. in History and Economics from University of Pittsburgh and a M.Ed. from University of Pittsburgh’s School of Education. He is responsible for litigating numerous cases before the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas and the Eighth District Court of Appeals. Prior to receiving his J.D., he was a law clerk at the Federal Public Defender’s Office, Sixth Circuit, an intern at the State Department, U.S. Embassy Sarajevo, Economics Section, and law clerk at the Special Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo.


Amanda Hall, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Amanda Hall joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in July 2015. She received her undergraduate degree from Kent State University in 2004 before attending law school at The University of Akron School of Law, graduating in 2009 with a J.D. Prior to graduating from law school, she was employed as a legal intern by the Canton City Prosecutor. Upon receiving her J.D. she continued her public service with the Meigs County Prosecutor and the Ashland County Department of Job and Family Services.


Stephanie Hall, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Stephanie N. Hall joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office after receiving her J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. She also has earned an LL.M. in Intercultural Human Rights from St. Thomas University School of Law, cum laude, in Miami, FL. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Cincinnati. Stephanie has litigated cases before the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas and the Eighth District Court of Appeals. Prior to receiving her J.D., Stephanie was a police officer for the City of Cleveland.


Jeffrey M. Heller, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Jeffrey M. Heller joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office as a law clerk in 2009. After receiving a law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2011, he was hired into the office’s Child Support Enforcement Unit, and then the Juvenile Justice Unit. He currently practices in the General Felony Unit. A former graduate of The Ohio State University, Mr. Heller is responsible for representing the State of Ohio in all criminal matters involving juveniles. He handles all pre-trial, trial, and post-decree issues before the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas and also handles appeals before the Eighth District Court of Appeals. Mr. Heller is a member of the litigation section of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, as well as the Ohio State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. A former Journalism major, Mr. Heller also served as the Editor-in-Chief of his law school’s newspaper, The Docket.


John F. Hirschauer, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney John F. Hirschauer has worked in public service for the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office since 2008. He joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office as a law clerk in 2008, and joined the office as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in 2010. APA Hirschauer’s legal background includes experience in U.S. District Court, Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court, Juvenile Court, child custody, and private practice. He graduated from the University of Dayton, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He then graduated from Cleveland State University’s Levin College of Urban Affairs, where he earned his Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration on local and urban management. He then graduated from Cleveland State University’s Cleveland-Marshall College of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor.


Yosef Hochheiser, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Yosef (“Joe”) Hochheiser joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office as an intern with the Major Trial Unit in 2009. He joined the office as a full-time attorney in 2010 after receiving his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshal College of Law. He also has earned his B.S. in Political Science from Touro College in New York. He has practiced in the Juvenile Justice Unit, Child Support Enforcement Unit, and is currently assigned to the General Felony Unit. Yosef has litigated and tried numerous cases before the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas including both jury and bench trials, and has argued before the Eighth District Court of Appeals. Prior to joining the Prosecutor’s Office, Yosef served as a Regional Director of the Junior Division of a non-profit Youth Group and was the Northeast Ohio Region Property Manager for an investment firm.


Zachary Humphrey, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Zachary Humphrey joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office after receiving his J.D. from The University of Toledo College of Law. He also has earned his B.S. in Accounting and an M.B.A. from Lake Erie College. He is currently responsible for the prosecution in the General Felony Unit. Prior to receiving his J.D., he served as a legal extern for the Honorable David S. Perelman at the United States District Court Northern District of Ohio.


Andrea Isabella, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Andrea Isabella joined the Prosecutor’s Office in 2013. Isabella earned her law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she was managing editor of the Ohio State Law Journal. She also served as president of the Criminal Law Society, executive director and intake director of the Pro Bono Research Group, and student counsel of the Honor Council. Isabella was a research assistant for a United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit Judge, a judicial extern for the United States District Court, Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, and a summer law clerk for the Prosecutor’s Office and the Office of the United States Attorney, Northern District of Ohio. Isabella has extensive experience in legal research and drafting appellate motions in both the Court of Appeals of Ohio, Eighth Appellate District, and the Supreme Court of Ohio.


Erica Johnson, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Erica Johnson joined the Prosecutor’s office in June 2014 after receiving her J.D. from Capital University Law School. In June 2005, she graduated, from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Finance specialization from the Fisher College of Business. She went on to receive a Masters in Library and Information Sciences from Kent State University and graduated in June 2007. During her matriculation through law school, Erica served as a legal extern for Chief Justice O'Connor at the Ohio Supreme Court, a legal extern in the City of Columbus Mayor’s Policy and Public Affairs Office, and a summer law clerk at the Franklin County Prosecutor's Office. Erica was also very active in the law school community and served as Capital University Law School's BLSA President (2011-2012), simultaneously served as the National Treasurer of the national chapter, and competed on the Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Team. Currently, she is a member of the Norman S. Minor Bar Association, National Bar Association, and the National Black Prosecutor’s Association. A graduate of Shaker Heights High School, Erica has strong ties to the community and frequently participates in community based volunteer events. She has spent her career in public service and is committed to the safety and well-being of the residents of Cuyahoga County.


Ashley Kilbane, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Ashley Kilbane joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office after three and a half years in business litigation with a law firm in Cleveland. Ashley is assigned to the General Felony Unit. Ashley received her J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago in 2009, and received her B.A. in Legal Studies and Certificate in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.


Jennifer King, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Jennifer King joined the office in 2015 as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in the General Felony Division. She received her B.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from Abilene Christian University and her J.D. from Ohio Northern University in 2012. During law school, Jennifer clerked for the Juvenile Division of Ohio’s Allen County Prosecutor’s Office. Upon graduation, she officially joined the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office as an Assistant Prosecutor where she tried adult felony cases including thefts, sexual assaults, and homicides.


John Kirkland, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney John D. R-R. Kirkland joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in February of 2011. He had previously been in private practice in the areas of criminal and domestic relation law. He also served over 28 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Special Agent and Supervisory Special Agent. He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University in 1972, and spent the next four years as an Officer with the United States Air Force before attending law school at Case Western Reserve University, graduating in 1979, with a Juris Doctor degree.


Khalilah A. Lawson, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Khalilah Lawson joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in 2013 after receiving her J.D. in 2012. She currently works in the General Felony Unit litigating cases in front of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. Prior to joining the General Felony Unit, Khalilah worked in the Juvenile Delinquency Unit where she prosecuted numerous cases before the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court.


Michael Lisk, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Michael Lisk joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in April 2016 and is currently assigned to the General Felony Unit. Previously, he served 8 years in the United States Army as a Judge Advocate where he practiced as a military prosecutor and defense attorney. Michael graduated from Capital University Law School in 2007 and obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton in 2004.

Kelly Mason, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Kelly Mason joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office after receiving her J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. She also has earned her B.A. in political science from the University of Mount Union. She is responsible for litigating numerous cases before the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, the Eighth District Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Ohio. Prior to receiving her J.D., she also was a law clerk at City of Parma Law Department and a personal injury law firm.


Carl J. Mazzone, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Carl J. Mazzone joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in June 2011. He received his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2010, and earned a B.A. in History from the University of Dayton in 2005. Mr. Mazzone is currently assigned to the General Felony Unit, where he is responsible for litigating cases in front of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, and Eighth District Court of Appeals. Prior to his current assignment, he proudly served the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in both the Child Support Enforcement, and Juvenile Justice Units. Mr. Mazzone is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and a lifelong resident of Cuyahoga County.


Jonathan M. McDonald, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Jonathan M. McDonald joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office after receiving his Juris Doctorate from The University of Akron School of Law. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology from The Ohio State University. He is responsible for litigating juvenile and adult criminal cases before the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court and the Eighth District Court of Appeals. He has recently been selected to be on the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office Diversity Board as well as a member of the Juvenile Safe Surrender Legal Board. Prior to receiving his Juris Doctorate, he was the National Deputy Chief of Staff for the National Black Law Student’s Association. Moreover, he clerked for Akron Municipal Court Judge Kathryn Michael and interned as a law clerk for Akron General Hospital’s Legal Sector.


Steven McIntosh, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Steven McIntosh joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office after receiving his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. He is responsible for litigating felony cases before the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court and the Eighth District Court of Appeals. Prior to receiving his J.D., he was also a law clerk at the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office.


Ben McNair, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Ben McNair joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in 2013, shortly after graduating from law school. He is a longtime resident of Northeast Ohio. Prior to attending law school, he served in the Marine Corps.


Anne Mikhaiel, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

As a native Clevelander, Kiran is committed to seeking justice by serving Cuyahoga County. In 2013, she received her J.D., with honors, in Litigation and Dispute Resolution from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Prior to receiving her J.D., Kiran received a B.A. with honors in government and psychology from Clark University. After passing the bar and becoming a licensed attorney, Kiran was hired as a criminal prosecutor. For almost a year and a half, Kiran worked at the CCPO Juvenile Unit prosecuting various felony and misdemeanor juvenile delinquency cases. Presently, Kiran is a member of the CCPO General Felony unit. As a prosecutor, Kiran takes pride in protecting victims and children in the community while holding offenders accountable for their crimes.


Mollie A. Murphy, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Mollie A. Murphy joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in 2008, after receiving her J.D. from Ohio Northern College of Law. After joining the Office, she was assigned to the Child Support Enforcement Unit. After several months, she moved to the Juvenile Unit. Currently, she is assigned to the General Felony Unit. In the GFU, she is responsible for litigating all levels of felony cases before the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court and in the Eighth District Court of Appeals.


Shannon M. Musson, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Shannon M. Musson joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office after receiving her Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. She also earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from John Carroll University. She practices in the General Felony Unit before the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court and the Eighth District Court of Appeals, litigating numerous cases before both courts. She has also been selected to assist on cases assigned to the Major Trial Unit. She is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, and an active participant in the 3Rs program that serves Cleveland area high school sophomores taking the OGT.


Nathalie E. Naso, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Nathalie E. Naso joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in February 2012, after receiving her J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. While in law school, Nathalie served as a legal extern for the Prosecutor’s Office. She also served as Law Clerk for the City of Westlake Law Department. Prior to law school, Nathalie received her undergraduate degree from John Carroll University in History. Nathalie is currently assigned to the General Felony Unit. She is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Westshore Bar Association, and volunteers at MLK High School with the CMBA “3R’s Program”.


Kelly Needham, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Kelly is an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney within the General Felony unit of the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office.


Owen M. Patton, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Owen M. Patton joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office after receiving his J.D. from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. He also earned a B.S. in Communication Studies, concentrating in the area of public advocacy, from Ohio University. He currently works in the General Felony Unit, litigating cases in front of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. Prior to joining the office, he was a law clerk for the City of Cleveland Heights Prosecutor’s Office.

Gregory Paul, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Gregory Paul joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office after receiving his J.D. from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. He also has earned his B.A. in Political Science from The Ohio State University. He joined the office in 2011. His prior work experience includes nearly 10 years as an aide in the Ohio General Assembly and 3 years at the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation assigned to legislative and government affairs.


Callista Plemel, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Callista Plemel joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office after receiving her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. She received her B.A. from Miami University, where she double-majored in History and Political Science. As a general felony prosecutor, she is responsible for litigating criminal felony cases before the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court and the Eighth District Court of Appeals. Prior to receiving her J.D., she law clerked with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio in Cincinnati, and served as a legal extern for Federal Judge S. Arthur Spiegel.


Brandon Piteo, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Brandon Piteo joined the office as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in 2014. He received his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.



Glen Ramdhan, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Glen Ramdhan joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office as a law clerk in 2006, and then as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in 2009. He received both his J.D. and his B.S. in Sociology from Cleveland State University. He is currently assigned to the General Felony Unit. He was previously assigned to the Child Support Enforcement Unit and the Juvenile Justice Unit.


Lindsay Raskin, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Lindsay Raskin graduated from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in May 2013. Lindsay graduated cum laude from Elon University in 2010, where she majored in political science. While attending Cleveland-Marshall she was Co-Chair of the Cleveland-Marshall Trial Advocacy Team, a Managing Editor of the Global Business Law Review, and a Member of the Dean’s Advisory Council. During law school, Lindsay worked as an extern at the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office. After completing the externship, Lindsay was invited back to work as a clerk, primarily for the Major Trial Unit. She also worked on cases for the Appellate Unit, Economic Crimes Unit and Political Corruption Unit.

Hannah Smith, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Hannah Smith joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office after receiving her J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. During law school, she served as a legal extern for the Honorable Donald C. Nugent of the Northern District of Ohio and at the United States Attorneys’ Office in the Civil Division.


Kerry Sowul, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Kerry Sowul joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office after receiving her J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. She also earned her B.A. in Criminology from The Ohio State University. She is responsible for General Felony cases before the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court and the Eighth District Court of Appeals, litigating numerous cases before the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas and the Eighth District Court of Appeals. She has worked in many units in the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, including the Appellate Division and the Juvenile Justice Unit. Prior to receiving her J.D., she was also a law clerk at the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office.


Janna R. Steinruck, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Attorney Janna R. Steinruck has served with the Children Services Unit for eight years. She has extensive experience in child welfare and criminal child abuse prosecution. APA Steinruck is licensed in Pennsylvania (inactive status) and Ohio. Prior to joining our office, she was an ADA assigned to the Child Abuse Unit of the Lancaster County, PA District Attorney’s Office. She was a member of the Lancaster County Child Death Review team, PA District Attorneys Institute Child Abuse Coalition, PA District Attorneys Association, and served on the taskforce that established the first Child Resource Center for the county. APA Steinruck served as a lecturer for the Minor Judiciary in Pennsylvania. With the Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office, she prosecuted children services cases, criminal child abuse cases, and served on the Children Services Citizens Advisory Council. She was a lecturer for the Ohio Public Children Services Association. She earned a B.S. in Mathematics from Grove City College and a J.D. from Akron Law School.


Erin M. Stone, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Erin M. Stone joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office after receiving her J.D. from Case School of Law, with a concentration in international criminal law. As part of Case’s International War Crimes Research Lab, she researched and wrote for the prosecution at the Iraqi Special Tribunal and the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia. She earned her B.A. in Government with a minor in International Relations from Smith College. She has been with the office since 2008, and is presently assigned to the General Felony Unit.


Carson M. Strang, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

As a native of Shaker Heights, Ohio, APA Strang is dedicated to making the Cleveland area a better, safer place to live and work. Prior to joining the CCPO team in June 2014, he attended The United States Air Force Academy (Colorado Springs, Colorado), Union College (Schenectady, New York), and received his law degree from Suffolk University Law School (Boston, Massachusetts). While earning his law degree at night, he worked as a law clerk at a distinguished commercial litigation firm in Boston, and spent his final year as an intern at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office in the Child Protection Unit. APA Strang is a former Division I college hockey player, and brings that same passion and enthusiasm to the General Felony Unit, where he is currently assigned.


Eleina Thomas, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Eleina is an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney within the General Felony unit of the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office.


Timothy Troup, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Timothy Troup joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in 2012 after receiving his J.D. from Capital University Law School. He earned a Criminal Justice Degree from Kent State University. Timothy is currently assigned to the General Felony Unit where he prosecutes and tries adult felony cases before the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. His previous assignments with the Prosecutor’s Officer include the Child Support Enforcement Unit and the Juvenile Justice Unit.


Christine Vacha, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Christine Vacha joined the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office after receiving her J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. She is a member of the General Felony Unit, and is dedicated to providing justice to the residents of Cuyahoga County.


Anna Woods, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Anna Woods has been an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney since 2011. She has worked in various units at the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office throughout the last several years as an attorney. Anna was previously employed at the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office as a summer intern in the IT Department during college. Anna was also employed at the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office as a legal secretary in the Civil Division, where she worked throughout law school. Anna attended Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and graduated in 2011. Before attending law school, Anna graduated with a B.A. from St. Francis University. Major cases Anna has worked on include: State of Ohio v. Blaine Murphy and State of Ohio v. Marc Tow.
