Plante & Moran Pays Cuyahoga County $123,510.10

CLEVELAND – Cuyahoga County Prosecuting Attorney Michael C. O’Malley announced that Plante & Moran, PLLC (“Plante Moran”), has paid Cuyahoga County $123,510.10.  Under the settlement agreement with the State of Ohio, Plante Moran agreed to pay back the County the full amount of money originally paid by the County to Plante Moran for their work on the County’s plan to purchase an Enterprise Resource Planning (or “ERP”) system. In 2016, Cuyahoga County borrowed $25,000,000 to pay a vendor to develop and install an ERP system.  The agreement provides that Plante Moran expressly denies any liability or wrongdoing of any kind.  Plante Moran has agreed to continue to fully cooperate in the ongoing investigation.

“Through the hard work of the investigators of the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office and the agents of the Cleveland Office of the FBI, the taxpayers have been made whole with regard to this contract,” said Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley. “The investigation continues.”
