Wrestling Coach Indicted for Sexually Assaulting Team Members

CLEVELAND – Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley announced that a Grand Jury has returned an indictment charging Daniel Gonsor, 30, for sexually assaulting two teenagers between June 2015 and July 2019.

“Gonsor violated his position of authority and trust and he will be held accountable,” said Prosecutor O’Malley. 

Gonsor has been indicted on the following charges:

• One count of Rape
• Two counts of Attempted Rape
• Two counts of Sexual Battery
• Two counts of Felonious Assault
• Two counts of Endangering Children
• Two counts of Corrupting Another With Drugs
• Nine counts of Gross Sexual Imposition

The case was investigated by the Lakewood Police Department.

Gonsor is scheduled to be arraigned February 19th at 8:30am at the Cuyahoga County Justice Center.
